I had called the company that installed my heating system (gas/forced hot water) and they'd come out twice, charged me twice, and not been able to fix it. Decided to try someone else and Prendergast was the only company to respond to my Home Advisor search (I guess most companies don't want to deal with diagnosis and would rather just service, install, or repair). Tom called me, got the details of what wasn't working, diagnosed the issue (stuck pressure relief valve) over the phone and gave me very detailed advice on how to fix it myself. "First, the price is great. I looked at all options and the closest I found was someone willing ot do it for 3K more, but only if I paid cash. Second, I can be a nervous homeowner when it comes to big repairs. The owner was great and explained things so even I could understand. Third, I literally got like 100+ years of experience in the crew he sent over. When something wasn't perfect it was addressed immediately as they "Needed" to know why not. They were spot on and kept coming back until it was gold standard (please note, I did have the dirtiest boiler they had ever seen, hence the number of trips). My wife was against the change...and now sees just how great a job they did. Even my father in-law complimented me.
